Sitting on a waiting list for speech, or until your child’s next well visit to chat with a pediatrician? Or maybe you’ve been told there “is no problem” by early intervention. But waiting doesn’t feel right? You want to help your child, you just don’t quite know how. I’ve got you! In one hour we will develop your family’s next steps to improve your child’s communication skills. Each meeting includes a 30-minute follow-up 1-2 weeks later, to guarantee the strategies are working well and you feel confident going forward.

My name is Amber Jara. I have been a pediatric speech language pathologist for eleven years. I believe in family centered therapy and I’m a passionate advocate for early intervention.
I am also the mama to some of the sweetest tiny humans, with a variety of their own speech and neurological differences.
My training and education could never have prepared me for what the mom side of speech delays felt like.
Scary, frustrating, exhausting….the list feels endless.
During the journey with my third child, I realized how little support, information, and education was available for families of kids who just weren’t talking!
